Latest on the fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

A fatal traffic accident occurred in Sau Mau Ping, where a motorcycle collided with a bus, killing the rider.

Motorcycle parts were scattered across the road, while the KMB Route 290A bus involved could be seen at a bus stop with damage to its rear. The accident happened at around 4 p.m. yesterday, when the motorcycle was travelling along New Clear Water Bay Road toward Sau Mau Ping. Near Lee Hang House of Shun Lee Estate, the rider was suspected to have failed to brake in time and crashed into the rear of the bus.

The 25-year-old male motorcyclist suffered severe head and body injuries. He was taken unconscious to United Christian Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. KMB stated that no passengers on the bus were injured.
