Britons may be enduring another record-breaking hot season, but soon the sights and sounds of Wimbledon will surely make them, and the rest of us,
feel better about the scorching summer.
This year, the evergreen tennis event will feature new technology that charts every key moments throughout a match, and you don't even
have to be anywhere near London's SW19 postcode.
Fred Baker from IBM UK says "This year, the entire look and feel across mobile and web is completely new."
"We've spent the past two years completely redesigning the look and feel, replatforming the digital platforms so that they are more dynamic, can scale even further. But also, over the last couple of years, we've continued to enhance a number of the AI-driven features."
"This year we've introduced "Live Likelihood to Win" key moments, which helps fans understand for every singles match across men's and women's
what they key turning points have been, where the momentum's shifted, and importantly, why - the explainability behind an AI prediction."
There are also chatbots that allow fans to ask questions about players, matches and tournament history.
Behind the scenes, a team of IBM engineers monitors the systems throughout the tournament.
So the stands maybe empty now and the workers tend to the lawn at a leisurely pace.
But soon we will see top level tennis played on these lush greens, and cutting-edge technology applied for the viewing pleasures of tennis fans around the world.
