Relatives of the 43 people killed in the 2018 collapse of Genoa's Morandi Bridge are demanding justice
as a first verdict in the four-year long criminal trial of 56 defendants, and it is expected to be delivered on Thursday.
"This is the expectation, feeling our pain acknowledged," said Raffaele Caruso, lawyer for relatives of victims.
"Feeling that a reconstruction of what happened is the one that identifies responsibilities and acknowledges that this thing (disaster)
did not happen by chance, but happened because there were some omissions from the point of view of maintenance, serious omissions," he added.
