Unsettled weather to continue

The Hong Kong Observatory forecasts scattered showers and a few squally thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. Unsettled weather will persist for the rest of the week, with occasional heavy shower tomorrow.

HKO says thundery showers associated with a broad trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea.

Heavy showers this morning brought over 30 millimetres of rain to many areas, with parts of Tai Po and Sha Tin recording more than 50 millimetres.
