Hong Kong is ideal for green enterprises

InvestHK's director general says Hong Kong is an ideal place for mainland green enterprises to expand business. This comes after a mainland recycling and trade-in platform established its first physical store in the city.

Located in Tsuen Wan, this secondary consumer electronics recycling store applies AI and big data to evaluate the price of consumers' phones. This machine also provides a detailed assessment of the condition of consumers' mobiles.

With the help of technology, the mainland enterprise hopes to provide an easy way for customers to recycle their electronics.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the store's opening, InvestHK Director General Alpha Lau says Hong Kong offers an ideal business environment for companies in the fields of green energy and sustainability.

Lau says "Because Hong Kong is a very good place to launch your business and showcase your standard and certification using the ones in Hong Kong to then further going into other places in the world, such as Middle East and South East Asia, which are also increasingly environmentally conscious these days."
