Chinese naval fleet arrives in Surabaya, Indonesia for 4-day visit

The Chinese Navy's 83rd fleet arrived at Tanjun Perak port in Surabaya Sunday morning. Representatives from the Indonesian Navy, the Chinese Consulate General in Surabaya, overseas Chinese, Chinese-invested enterprises, and student abroad were there to welcome them.

During the visit, naval personnel from both countries will engage in a series of activities, including ship visits, exchange seminars, and sports competitions. The commander of the 83rd fleet will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Indonesian government, the navy and naval academies.

The fleet will host a deck reception and open the vessels for visits by Indonesian military and the local public. After the visit, the two sides will conduct joint maritime exercise.
