Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Janice Tse says the government received more than 16,000 submissions on Hong Kong's first Five-Year Plan over the two-month public consultation period. The public consultation period ends today.

Speaking to the media, Tse describes the public response to the formulation of the plan as "very enthusiastic." Among the received opinions, more than 80% are from individual residents, while the rest is submitted by parties and professional groups.

Tse says the administration aims to announce the first blueprint of the plan in September.
