Chinese Foreign Minister meets Jordanian counterpart in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi tells Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, who is accompanying King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II on a visit to China, that the King's visit will be a complete success.

Wang says China appreciates Jordan's firm commitment to a friendly policy toward China and its adherence to the one-China principle, and will continue to support Jordan in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Safadi shares his gratitude to China for the hospitality extended during the king's visit, saying his country attaches great importance to its relations with China and is willing to deepen cooperation in various fields while commending China's positive role on the Middle East issue and its firm support for the two-state solution to the Palestinian question.
