Four departments, including Customs and Fire Services Department conducted a joint drill at the redeveloped Huanggang Port, simulating the cross-border patient handover between Shenzhen and Hong Kong ambulances.
The drill simulated a patient being transported from the mainland by ambulance to the border and handed over to Hong Kong ambulance personnel, following established response procedures and risk assessments.
Participants included officers from the Immigration Department and the Department of Health. Through joint drills, various departments hope to test and enhance cross-departmental coordination and response capabilities, ensuring efficient completion of customs clearance procedures and enabling patients to receive appropriate treatment as soon as possible.
