Kremlin to temporarily take charge of critical infrastructural sites

Russian President Vladimir Putin signs a decree allowing the Kremlin to temporarily take charge of critical infrastructure facilities in the nation amid increased Ukrainian drone attacks.

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov notes many business owners in the country do not pay enough attention to measures ensuring anti-drone safety at the key sites.

The decree applies to facilities in the energy, industrial, communication and transport sectors.

He adds the measure is a response to what the Kremlin calls "aggressive and belligerent" statements from Western leaders such as Finnish President Alexander Stubb and successive UK prime ministers.

This as Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stresses the policy doesn't imply Moscow will nationalise affected companies or change their ownership.
