Indonesian rescuers searching for 100+ missing in ferry overturn

Hundreds of Indonesian rescuers raced to board a passenger ship on Monday

which capsized earlier in the Java Sea.

129 people are still missing, and at least six are confirmed dead.

The Virgo Transport 8 ship was carrying 243 people when it overturned

in bad weather on Sunday.

108 passengers and crew members have been rescued.

At the medical facility set up at Trisakti Port, survivors described

the chaos as the ferry flipped over.

Some said the ship tilted rapidly and there

were no alarms or announcements.
