Applications open for 3 Hung Shui Kiu areas for NM university town

The government made available three areas in Hung Shui Kiu for applications from eligible institutions as the area is set to become a university towns in the Northern Metropolis.

This as authorities expect such schools can begin their operations at the start of next year.

Speaking to the press about the city's first Five-Year Plan and latest Policy Address, Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan says the three Hung Shui Kiu span a total of 26 hectares.

Applications for the sites will close by the 31st of December this year.

The government has also earmarked 10 billion dollars for a loan fund to support campus construction in the university town, and is expected to announce the list of successful applicants at the start of next year.
