Britain's King Charles III urges senior leaders from top technology companies to make sure artificial intelligence remains under control and in the service of people and the planet.
The monarch said, "so if harmony has any relevance to today's discussions, it is perhaps as a reminder that innovation must always be considered within the wider systems upon which all depend."
"As you gather for what, I hope, you will find to be fruitful conversations on the rapid development of AI(artificial intelligence), I can only pray that this philosophy goes some way to arming you with the unique perspective needed to reconcile the enduring needs of humanity with the extraordinary capabilities of these new technologies."
The gathering in Scotland was convened to discuss how AI can benefit society, and comes at a pivotal moment for the technology as debate swirls around whether rapid advances will soon put it beyond the ability of humans to rein it in.
