CNN, MS NOW, Political sue Trump for First Amendment infringement

CNN, MS NOW and Politico are suing US President Donald Trump after being barred access to the White House.

A joint statement by the organisations says they are seeking to protect their First Amendment rights with the lawsuit.

The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, also lists Steven Cheung, assistant to the president for communications, Sean Curran, director of the Secret Service, and Susan Wiles, White House chief of staff, as defendants.

This latest suit comes after Trump wrote in a social media post Friday that the three outlets are banned from accessing the White House, revoking several journalists' credentials, citing reporting of 'fake news' by these outlets as reason.
