3 Chinese women rescued from Thailand; after sexual assaults

Three Chinese women earlier lured to Thailand were rescued after being illegally imprisoned and sexually assaulted. Thai police arrested four Chinese men in connection with the case.

Early Wednesday morning, Thai police raided a villa and rounded up four Chinese men who hold no legitimate travel permits.

There, they extricated the three female victims, aged between 23 and 36, who were lured to the area on the pretext of offering entertainment services.

Upon arrival, they were detained and sexually assaulted, with their relatives being extorted for ransom.

Thai police received requests for help from a relative of a victim and launched a rescue operation. Evidence including chains and drugs were seized.The case remains under investigation.
