The government gazettes the Stanley Mosque and the Hung Shing Temple in Wan Chai as declared monuments.

The Stanley Mosque is also now a declared monument.

Located inside Stanley Prison, it is Hong Kong's second-oldest mosque, built by muslim staff from India and Pakistan of Prisons Department between 1936 and 1937.

It is the only mosque inside a prison and is not open to the public.

Built between 1847 and 1852, the Hung Shing Temple on Queen's Road East is one of the district's oldest surviving temples.

Originally located along the shoreline, it pays tribute to Hung Shing, the God of the South Sea.

The site remains a vital religious centre.

Its traditional Lingnan architecture blends seamlessly with adjacent natural rocks, giving it high architectural value.
