More people suspected their credit cards were used without authorisation to purchase the latest iPhone, with the police noting they received another 10 such cases.

Authorities said as of 9am ,130 people reported credit card fraud cases involving a total of 5 million dollars, with the cases listed as obtaining property by deception.

This as Apple began accepting online pre-orders for its new iPhone Duo without the 3-D Secure credit card transaction protocol last Friday.

The company stressed it assesses all relevant purchases and would cancel any fraudulent transactions.
