Saudi-led airstrikes kill 14 in northern Yemen market

Suspected Saudi-led airstrikes killed 14 people, including three children, in a crowded market in northern Yemen on Wednesday amid rising tensions in the Middle East region.

A spokesperson for the Houthi-run Health Ministry stated 15 others sustained injuries when the raids hit a central market near a petrol station in Al-Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf province.

Search-and-rescue teams combed through the rubble for survivors.

In a separate incident on Wednesday, the internationally recognised government accused Houthi forces of launching ballistic missiles at Aden airport in southwestern Yemen, leaving craters on the runway.

The strikes came as tensions in the country continued to rise.
