Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan announced Hong Kong International Airport is officially launching services under the national "Trunk-Branch Connectivity, Whole-Network Linkage" initiative through two pioneering corridors: the Hangzhou-Hong Kong Connect and the Wuhan-Hong Kong Connect.

Under the service, travellers connecting through Hong Kong only need to check in once and baggage will be checked through directly to their final destination.

Delivering her opening speech, Chan said by launching these two corridors, Hong Kong is integrating with the national transfer platform.

To put this into perspective, this transfer platform is already active across more than 260 airports in the Mainland and has accumulatively facilitated over 260 million transfer passengers, allowing tens of millions of travellers to enjoy the unprecedented convenience of one-stop check-in and seamless baggage transfers the two most functions I think are most critical to enhance customer experience.

The third Super Terminal Expo spans three days beginning Tuesday, features more than 6,000 professionals from over 60 countries and regions, alongside 120 global brands showcasing innovations in smart airports and the low-altitude economy.

The event gathers global leaders in aviation and logistics as well as technology providers, airline executives and logistics specialists, allowing the industry to exchange insights and explore latest trends in terminal automation, passenger experience technologies and sustainable infrastructure development.

This company from Hangzhou features an AI robot designed to enhance the passenger experience at the airport by assisting travellers with navigation and destination searches.

This helps relieve stress on airport staff and answers repetitive inquiries.

The robots are already in use at Hamad International Airport.

An aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle is also showcased at the exhibition.

It delivers quick acceleration and is capable of pumping water while in motion, with a pump-and-roll speed of up to 40 kilometres per hour.
