To celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison opened three of its barracks to the public for two consecutive weekends. This week, the Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks was open.

The open day featured various military training demonstrations, including helicopter rescue demonstrations.

An experience area was also set up, including pipe bandaging, shooting, and knotting demonstrations, with officers and soldiers on hand to provide guidance.

The event attracted many families, students, and tourists to visit.

The barracks also exhibited various military equipment, including ships from the Hong Kong Garrison.

Members of the public had to make reservations in advance through the Hong Kong Garrison's WeChat official account. A total of 25,000 slots were available. Two more barracks, Shek Kong and San Wai, will be open to the public next week.
