Gazans go to beach to escape summer heat

Palestinians in Gaza City have flocked to the beach to escape the scorching heat of the summer.

The sea is now one of the few recreational activities left in the Gaza Strip, after two years of war.

The high temperatures feel worse inside the tents, where hundreds of thousands of displaced people live.

While families gathered to chat and play games, some are worried that Israeli patrol boats could show up any time.

They also fear possible shelling by the Israeli military.
