The Times Higher Education World University Sustainability Impact Rankings have been released, with five Hong Kong universities making it into the top 100.
This ranking assesses universities' performance in meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Lingnan University jumped from "101st to 200th" last year to 63rd, entering the top 100 for the first time.
The highest ranking Hong Kong university is University of Science and Technology, which ranked 20th, dropping one place year-on-year.
PolyUniversity rose four places to 52nd.
Baptist University and Chinese University ranked 68th and 91st respectively.
A total of 1,646 universities participated in this year's rankings. University of Manchester in the UK ranked first, followed by Griffith University and Western Sydney University in Australia.
