A museum in Denmark unveils the latest exhibition which is part of American artist James Turrell's renowned series that frames sunlight and turns it into a work of art.
At ARoS Art Museum in Denmark's second-largest city, Aarhus, visitors are marvelling at the latest "skyspace" artwork by James Turrell who is renowned for his play on light and shadow.
This monumental piece, dubbed "As Seen Below- The Dome" is Turrell's hundredth and most ambitious.
The underground dome chamber measuring 16 meters in height and 40 meters in diameter.
Visitors are invited to step inside this Pantheon-like skyspace, which features a pinhole at the top where sunlight filters through.
The ambience, light and shadow shift throughout the day as the sun rises and sets, sending those inside the dome into a state of disorientation and quiet contemplation.
