ICE agent fatally shoots Colombian man in Maine.
The killing of the 26-year-old man from Colombia in Biddeford marks the second deadly ICE shooting in a week, and at least the ninth death since President Trump began his immigration crackdown.
Federal officials say agents were watching a house tied to someone with a deportation order, but Senator Angus King says the victim wasn't the target.
The agent claims the driver tried to use his car as a weapon. Witnesses heard the man say, "I tried to stop" before he died. Neighbours say he lived nearby with his wife and young daughter and was allowed to work in the US.
The agent involved in the shooting is on leave while the FBI investigates the case.
Hundreds came out in protest Monday night.
The shooting comes after ICE agents arrested more than 10,000 people over five days in late June.
In Maine, 546 people have been arrested since January, of whom 45% have criminal records.
