Chongqing landslide rescue efforts continue

Rescue teams use explosives to clear massive boulders after last week's landslide in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing.

That has allowed rescue efforts to enter the "deep-recovery phase."

The landslide struck Chongqing's Pengshui County, near the Wujiang Third Bridge Friday morning.

The tragedy claimed at least eight lives with dozens unaccounted for.

More than 1,100 residents have been evacuated, and authorities are monitoring nearby slopes for the risk of secondary disasters.
