T8 in effect; MTR open railway sections may take longer to resume

MTRC says the damaged overhead cables in Tai Wo Station along the East Rail Line will take longer to repair.

Meanwhile, trains in tunneled sections will keep running during normal operating hours at reduced intervals.

For the East Rail Line, services between Fo Tan and Hung Hom Stations have resumed services.

For Citybus, Routes B7 (offering trips between Fanling Station and Heung Yuen Wai port only) and S1 provide limited services, while the other daytime routes remain suspended until further notice.

KMB Routes B1 (including special departures from Tin Shui Wai), B9 and B9A will resume limited services from 09:00 onwards. LWB Routes S1 and S64 are now maintaining limited services. Services of other daytime KMB and LWB bus routes are temporarily suspended until further notice.

Peak Tram services will remain suspended under T8.
