Three dead in UK seaside incident

Three members of the same family, including a teenage girl have died after four people got into difficulty in the water off the Sussex coast in the UK, police said Tuesday.

Emergency services were called at around 2:40 p.m. to reports of four people in difficulty in the water close to Shoreham Fort, Sussex Police said.

Police said all four people were brought ashore with the help of coastguard and RNLI.

Speaking to reporters the press on Tuesday evening, Chief Superintendent James Collis said a man, a woman and a teenage girl died, while a younger girl from the same family is in a critical condition in hospital.
