The Philippines, US and Australia complete their seven-day multilateral maritime cooperative activity in the South China Sea.

This as the People's Liberation Army criticise Manila for trying to win over external parties to destabilise the South China Sea and neighbouring regions.

The event marks the 19th cooperative military activity between the three countries, and included several warships, AW109 helicopters and the FA-50 aircraft.

Philippine Coast Guard vessel BRP Teresa Magbanua, which was earlier involved in a standoff with PLA vessels near Nanhai Jiao, also took part in the activity.

The Philippine military notes the various exercises in the activity were aimed at ensuring an open and safe Indo-Pacific region.

A PLA spokesperson, meanwhile, says Manila's actions are disturbing regional peace and stability, and emphasises Beijing is determined to defend its territorial integrity.
