Man arrested after allegedly throwing laundry pods in turtle pond

Police arrest a 42-year-old man on suspicion of animal cruelty after he allegedly threw laundry pods in a turtle pond in Ma On Shan.

The turtle pond is at Kam Ying Court in Ma On Shan. Police received reports from the housing estate's security on Wednesday, saying they had spotted a large amount of foam in the pond.

The turtles were removed from the site afterward. After investigation, the police arrested a man on Friday over animal cruelty.
