Joshua Wong pleads guilty to collusion with foreign forces

Joshua Wong of the dissolved Demosisto pleads guilty to conspiracy to collude with foreign forces to endanger national security. The 29-year-old former political activist could face a life sentence.

The hearing is held at the High Court. In its mitigation submission, the defence states Wong's offence is less grave in nature, compared to Jimmy Lai's case.

The lawyer says he hopes the court could consider sentencing Wong to the upper end of the lower band, which is, three to 10 years.

The hearing lasted for about two hours, and the judge adjourned the court for sentencing to a later date.
