President Xi: China, UK have greater common interests than differences

President Xi Jinping told Britain's Prime Minister Andy Burnham during phone talks that their countries share greater common interests than differences, state media outlet Xinhua reported.

Xi said there was a need to "overcome differences, seek common ground, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation," the report added.

He added that he hopes Britain can "fully protect legitimate rights, interests of Chinese investors."
