Celine Dion returns to give concert in Paris

Iconic Canadian singer Celine Dion held her first full concert

since her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome.

Thousands of fans flocked to the Plenitude Arena

in Paris for the first of her 16 shows after a four-year break.

Dion fan Tatu Mansano said, "We are fans since the 90s and we're very excited to be here.

We thought she was going to retire because she was so ill for

a few months a few years ago.

But now she's here and we are here to see her.

It's their first concert and I'm very excited and we are very

very happy."

Music critics say the fans who attended the concert

saw the singer who was clearly glad to be there.

The Telegraph's writer said that

even though it started 50 minutes late, the night was "a tense, tearful, joyous affair probably even more so for the singer than for her loyal audience."
