China has informed foreign embassies in Beijing of the
procedures for collecting DNA samples from the families
of the China-Nepal border mudslide missing
foreigners.
Spokesman Guo Jiakun said if the remains of a foreign national
are found and identified, the Chinese side will promptly notify
the relevant country's embassy in China of the arrangements
for handling the matter.
Guo also said the Xizang Autonomous Region has set up a hotline
for the families and will provide timely assistance to them.
