President Xi, Premier Li send wreaths over passing of Tung Chee-hwa

Floral wreaths were presented by leaders of the central government over the passing of former Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa.

A lineup of senior officials paid respects to Tung, whose coffin is draped with the national flag.

President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, top legislator Zhao Leji, and Politburo members Wang Huning and Cai Qi sent their wreaths to the venue to extend profound condolences.

The hearse carrying the coffin left the funeral home and arrived at the Cape Collinson Crematorium in Chai Wan at around 10:30am.

Tung's wife Betty Tung and other relatives came to bid their final farewell.
