1 man arrested after cameras found in Sha Tin gym changing rooms

A man was arrested on suspicion of voyeurism after pinhole cameras were found to have been installed in several changing rooms of a Sha Tin gym.

Authorities received reports on Friday of pinhole cameras having been installed in three changing rooms in a 24/7 Fitness outlet on Lek Yuen Street.

The police managed to recover much of the footage and tracked down a 34-year-old male suspect before arresting him on Sunday.

Sources say he worked in the construction sector, with police officers seizing several computers from his residence.

Authorities stressed voyeurism is a serious crime carrying a maximum prison sentence of five years.
