Customs seizes 6KG marijuana at airport

Customs seizes about six kilograms of marijuana buds with an estimated market value of 1.2 million dollars.

Customs officers discover a batch of suspected marijuana buds during an investigation at the airport on Sunday.

They arrest a 49-year-old male traveller from the Chinese Mainland who arrives in Hong Kong from Bangkok, Thailand.

Officers later found two boxes containing suspected Part 1 poisons and an untaxed cigarette in his luggage.

The case is currently under investigation.
