Cyclothon to start this weekend

This year's Hong Kong Cyclothon returns this Sunday with more than 6,000 participants.

Special traffic arrangements will be in place this weekend.

Temporary road closures will be implemented in phases starting Saturday noon until 1:15 pm on Sunday in Kowloon West.

West Kowloon Highway will be temporarily closed starting 1 am Sunday while the Central Kowloon Bypass will be off-limits starting 7 am Sunday.

Several road sections in New Territories South will be cordoned off starting 1 am Sunday as well.

The event features non-competitive 56km rides with a brand new route that allows participants to pedal through three bridges and five tunnels while taking in the urban landscapes.
