A study has shown more than 90 percent of students aged 7 or above suffer from spinal posture problems, noting the use of electronics for long periods of time an underlying cause.
Conducted between 2024 and September this year by the Children Chiropractic Foundation, the study involved more than 13,000 students who were offered spinal examinations free of charge.
Close to 68 percent of them were prone to stand or walk with their heads leaning forward, while 56 percent have suspected scoliosis.
The study also indicated the students would spend more than two hours on electronic products each day, calling their current conditions consequences of their overreliance on laptops.
The foundation suggested schools can make arrangements to educate students on spinal protection, such as improving their posture when using electronic products.
