More than 100 people have reported their credit cards being used for unauthorised transactions to purchase the latest iPhone Duo.

Sources say the incident involves several million dollars’ worth of transactions.

Apple began taking online preorders for its foldable iPhone Duo on Friday evening.

The phones range from $17,499 to $27,999, with a limit of two phones per customer.

There are, however, some buyers who claimed on social media their credit cards were charged for more than two transactions. Others claim they received text messages notifying them their orders had been rejected.

Some 1,500 unauthorised transactions involving $30 million were reported last month when Apple began taking online orders for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Authorities had requested Apple reexamine its transaction security protocol at the time.
