A 63-year-old man has died after reportedly falling from height while attempting to rescue a cat in To Kwa Wan.
Police received a report at around 11 p.m. last night that a man had fallen from a residential building at Jubilant Place. He was found unconscious on a podium-level planter.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance but was later certified dead.
After preliminary investigation, police believe the man, a resident of the building, may have accidentally lost his footing while trying to rescue a cat.
The exact cause of death will be determined following a post-mortem examination. The cat has since been returned to its owner.
