Black-necked cranes relaxing in wetland in Tibet

The black-necked crane is a Class I protected animal in China and the only crane species that lives on the plateau.

It is considered an auspicious bird by the Tibetan people. Some adult black-necked cranes were seen strolling leisurely with their young in the wetlands of Dingjie County, Tibet.
