PLA’s Shek Kong Barracks holds Open Day

To celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison opened its Shek Kong Barracks to the public for two consecutive days.

The barracks opened at 9:00 AM, starting with a flag-raising ceremony by the Hong Kong Youth Military Honor Guard, followed by a military band, and a firearms display.

There is also a drone demonstration of aerial dropping, fixed-point observation, and other techniques.

The open day attracted a large number of citizens, many of whom were families. They had previously made reservations through the PLA Hong Kong Garrison's WeChat official account.

In addition to Shek Kong Barracks, San Wai Barracks is also open to the public for two consecutive days this weekend.
