Beatles Day sees global celebrations

Earlier this week the world celebrated the Global Beatles Day.

June 25 was the day when fans honoured the Fab Four who changed the world of pop music.

Beatles fan Jason Steenbergen says, "I think because they're timeless, I mean, I know everyone, all my friends know them, even though it's a while since the band, since Beatlemania was really a big worldly thing, but it's still doing, and I think that's really, really interesting."

Interesting indeed, as fans in Mexico City celebrated with a free outdoors screening of the movie "Help!"

The 1965 comedy adventure follows the group as they try to escape the clutches of a mysterious cult.

And in Peru's Lima, Beatles fans gathered at a bar where they sang along to the music of the iconic band.

The owner of the Liverpool Bar, Manuel Ardiles has been a Beatles fan since he was 12. He opened the bar 14 years ago and has been hosting Beatles-related celebreations ever since.
