PLA naval fleet to visit HK later this week

A People's Liberation Army Navy fleet, featuring the guided-missile destroyer Nanning and the guided-missile frigate Henyang, will be visiting Hong Kong for 5 days from this coming Thursday.

The Chinese Ministry of National Defence announced that public open days and cultural exchange activities will be held to give Hong Kong residents a closer look and in-depth understanding of the progress of national defence and military development.

In July last year, another PLA naval fleet, led by the Shandong aircraft carrier, including the guided-missile frigate Yuncheng and guided-missile destroyer Zhanjiang, visited Hong Kong for 5 days.
