U.S. President Donald Trump says he is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House around September 24 and notes that a new ballroom will be constructed to welcome Xi.

According to U.S. media reports, the White House is undertaking major construction projects, including building a helipad to prepare for the imminent state visit.

TRUMP: "For instance, President Xi is coming here toward the end of September 24, I believe. What we need is a big ballroom, we could hold thousands of people to see him. Everyone wants to see him."
