Pakistani rescuers found the wreckage of a cargo plane

in a deep-sea search operation on Wednesday,

12-hours after it went missing off the coast of Karachi.

Authorities said efforts were underway to find the five crew

members who were on board.

The family of co-pilot Faisal Jatoi, one of the crew members of the cargo plane

were awaiting his safe recovery.

Ghulam Nabi Bahrani, father-in-law of Jatoi said "He called my daughter,

who is his wife at around 7 pm and told her that

he would be leaving in about 10 minutes.

When it became 10 pm there was still no contact from him.

We searched on Google and learned about the crash.

For us, it felt as though the world had collapsed."

He said Jatoi was married four years ago, and he has a two-year-old son.

"Right now, all we can do is wait and pray for a miracle that Faisal is found

safe and well, and that all of his colleagues with him are also safe."

The aircraft operated by the private carrier K2 Airways had departed from

Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and reported a navigational system

problem before losing contact with air traffic control late Tuesday.

The Pakistani navy and civilian teams in planes and ships found

the wreckage after about 12 hours of searching in the Arabian Sea,

Pakistan's Airports Authority said in a post on X.

The search continued for five missing people who were aboard the aircraft.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed sympathy with the families

of the five crew members and deployed all available resources for the

search effort.
