Smoke from wildfires blanketed Toronto on Wednesday, creating hazy skies and prompting health concerns as residents faced poor air quality, according to CTV.
People were seen spending time outdoors in parks, while some wore masks amid the smoky conditions.
Howard Shapiro, Director and Associate Medical Officer of Health, compared the wildfire smoke exposure to secondhand smoke, saying the particles contain a mix of chemicals and compounds that can affect health.
