Police arrest two drivers for suspected drug driving

Police arrested two drivers in seperate incidents early Monday morning in Kwai Chung and Prince Edward, discovering suspected drugs during vehicle inspections.

According to sources at the scene, shortly after 1:00 a.m. officers stopped a swerving private car on Tsing Kwai Highway heading towards Tsuen Wan.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of suspected drugs, including 56 packets of cannabis, each weighing  about 3.5 grams. The 38-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

About one hour later, police intercepted another vehicle on Sai Yeung Choi Street South near Allied Plaza in Prince Edward, and arrested the 57-year-old male driver after finding a quantity of suspected methamphetamine inside the car.
