Citybus crash leaves at least 10 injured

The accident occurred at around 9am Tuesday morning near Bellagio in Sham Tseng. The bus was heading towards Kowloon, but struck a roadside railing.

The Route 952P bus, operated by Citybus, was running from Chi Lok Fa Yuen in Tuen Mun to Causeway Bay.

The bus sustained significant damage, with its front windshield shattered and the left-side windows and door on the lower deck destroyed.

Some passengers were injured by shattered glass and several had to be carried away by stretchers to hospital after receiving on-site bandaging, while uninjured passengers left on other buses with police assistance.

The accident forced a lane closure for more than an hour. The 64-year-old bus captain was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been suspended from duty.
