A colourful mountain wonder in Gansu Province

In Zhangye City in Gansu Province, there is a place called the Colourful Danxia Scenic Area.
It covers over 50 square kilometers and is about 1,820 meters above sea level. The Colourful Danxia Scenic Area was formed 145 million years ago. It is one of the best examples of a Danxia landform that one can find in northwest China.
